Niki Woods

I am the Artistic Director of the New Adelphi Theatre, responsible for programming a diverse season of events that responds to student-facing curriculum and staff research.

I have been an associate artist with Blast Theory for over twenty years, touring nationally and internationally with Blast Theory, Plane Performance and Reckless Sleepers. In addition, I am a board member for Reckless Sleepers theatre company. 

I am a Senior Lecturer in Theatre and Performance Practice at the University of Salford, and recently co-edited with Dr Tracy Crossley an online book for Digital Theatre+: Making Postdramatic Theatre – A Handbook of Devising Exercises.

Sam Ingleson

I am the Associate Dean of Engagement, Enterprise & Partnerships in the School of Arts and Media.

I love being part of this team and I support the theatre through: writing funding bids, developing community events, and working with industry to create new partnerships.

Mark Fox

I am the New Adelphi Theatre Venue Manager. I manage contracts, finance and external hires of our spaces. I’m also the Performance Coordinator within the Directorate of Performance, English and Creative Writing. I have worked at the University of Salford since 2006, in a variety of roles such as theatre technician and academic fellow. 

I also work with my own Children’s Theatre Company Colour The Clouds, and have worked with various Manchester based companies on shows such as Yesterday When I Was Young (HOPE Theatre), The Boy With Tape on His Face (Gag Reflex) and Hidden (Black Toffee). I was also the technical manager for 24:7 Theatre Festival from 2010 to 2015.

Hannah Briggs

I am the Box Office and Marketing Coordinator for the New Adelphi Theatre, managing the Theatre’s ticket sales online and operating our Box Office in person for external shows. I also operate as our Graphic Designer and handle the Theatre’s statistics.

I graduated from the University of Salford in Drama and Creative Writing, and am a published author, poet, and aspiring playwright. I am currently undertaking a Masters degree in Visual Communication to develop my graphic design practice.

Georgia Lynch

I am the Performance and Front of House Coordinator, working as part of the New Adelphi Theatre team and within the School of Arts, Media and Creative Technologies. 

I coordinate Front of House for, and the logistics behind, the curricular events and festivals undertaken by our Performance, Technical Theatre, Media and Comedy students. 

I also coordinate Front of House for our professional season of work, and the many other events that we host at the New Adelphi Theatre. 

Outside of the university, I am an Workshop Facilitator for the Onstage section of The Lowry’s Stage Directions programme and in Salford schools, supporting young people as they learn new skills and grow in confidence as performers.

Charlotte Cropper

I’m Charlotte, the Front of House and Audience Development Assistant for the New Adelphi Theatre.    

I work closely with Georgia to support the Front of House delivery for our many eclectic events, both in the logistics and practical on-the-ground running of the theatre alongside our Ushers.   

The other side of my role is managing the New Adelphi Theatre and UoS_Performance social media accounts. The UoS_Performance Instagram highlights the work of emerging artists from Media, Theatre, Comedy and Technical Theatre you can follow us here. I am responsible for promoting our shows and reaching as many audience members as possible through our online output and our internal University systems, such as our Blackboard Site.   

I also work outside of this role as a Stand-Up Comedian, Presenter and Comedy Club Facilitator.

Laurence Boot

I am the Technical Manager for Performance, Music & Dance at the University of Salford. I lead a fantastic team of technical staff who operate and maintain all of our live performance spaces, and I work with the wider Theatre team in the development of our venue.

Outside of the University, I love creating music and have been playing for almost twenty years.
