Here at the New Adelphi Theatre, we’ve been delighted to house two new Graduate Business Associates for 2023. If you follow us closely on our social media, you’ll have already been introduced to these two exceptional alumni, who have just started their positions with us from the start of February. They will be fully immersing themselves in the day-to-day running of the theatre, gaining and honing a variety of skills and experience to equip them for a successful career in the arts.
Let us introduce them:
Hi! My name is Ronan Kemp (He/Him). I am from the Graduate class 2022 of Media and Performance.
I am a comedian, writer, SalFUNNI alumni and all-around nerd enthusiast. I, alongside other students, represented the University of Salford at the University Edinburgh Fringe Project in 2022!
I am a passionate performer and writer who is constantly looking at how to use these mediums to tackle subjects which people may find hard to discuss in everyday life.
I am looking forward to gaining greater skills in the more technical areas of managing a creative project, in order to be able to develop and run such projects in the future. I am also looking forward to developing my skills as a writer in the hopes of publishing official pieces of work in the future.
Hiya, I’m Olivia Schofield (she/her) and I graduated from Salford in 2022 after completing my Theatre and Performance degree. I’m a Freelance Theatre Director and Facilitator and I have worked with The Lowry, The National Theatre and The University of Salford’s very own Stephen Hornby- with his award-winning play ‘The Day The World Came To Huddersfield’ (which I co-directed).
I’m so excited to be part of New Adelphi Theatre and learn about the important world of programming and organising events and getting stuck in with all the behind-the-scenes jobs that the audience doesn’t necessarily see.
I’m currently the Assistant Director for The Lowry Young Company’s entry to the ‘National Theatre Connections’ event which is such a challenging but fun role!
I love a good natter, so if you see me looking a bit lost come and say Hi!
