We’ve been delighted to house a new Graduate Business Associate for 2024, here at the New Adelphi Theatre.
Starting in March, our newest member of the team Alex Pahle has been immersing himself in the day-to-day running of the theatre, gaining a variety of skills and experience to equip him for a successful career in the arts.
We asked him a few questions about his internship, what he’s hoping to learn, and advice for future interns!
What made you apply for the University of Salford internship?
I had attended the University of Salford for my undergraduate degree, so I knew the staff and had connections. I knew the internship could help me to take the next step in my career.
What are you looking forward to doing in your internship?
I’m looking forward to seeing how the New Adelphi Team works and operates. I’m also hoping to work on the skills I already have, and try opportunities for new things – such as motion capture.
How have you found the transition from being a student to a staff member?
It’s strange now seeing students and knowing I’m not a student with them. But the staff are lovely, so I haven’t felt much of a change – just no uni work stress! And it’s nice seeing what talent Salford has within its students.
What would you say to someone considering taking up the internship?
Do it! You get to see the inside of the Salford staff life and how the uni works. Definitely feel like I’m learning new things.
