It’s A Boy?

It’s a Boy? is the debut show from the wildly creative comic mind of Ben Hodge.

Ben Hodge, winner of INTO Film Best Documentary 2020 and the Brighton Fringe Pride Bursary, debuts his first live, one-man stage show. He explores themes of gender expression and trans masculinity whilst growing up in a world where his own transgender identity was sought out through Yorkie bars, Closer magazine and an awful emo fringe.

“Ben is such an exciting act. Tonnes of charm and stage presence all topped off with killer jokes.” – Kiri Pritchard-McLean.

“Relatable and likeable and infinitely self aware.” – Blizzard Comedy

At the age of 23, Ben has already got an impressive list of credits including Homotopia’s QueerCore Festival, Pride Cymru, Trans Pride South West and Sparkle Festival. He was also Associate Artist at the University of Salford, in which he developed this show.
