st brigid, cover me in your cloak and protect me from the fire(works) is an active space of commemoration. It’s where violence and nature meet. It’s where we consider how commemoration functions in contested spaces: how it can be imposed on others, how we strive for something other than it, and whether looking back can offer an alternative.
